This is a toy. Real logistics is a deep, specialized field — vehicle routing is famously NP-hard, meaning no known method finds the guaranteed-best answer quickly as the problem grows. (Not “unsolved” — it is well defined and solved every day by heuristics that get close enough. Hard is not the same as open.) We simplify hard and make round-number assumptions so you can feel the shape: why a full truck beats a half-empty one, why waiting to consolidate costs you, and why slack capacity is free money if you can catch it. The numbers are illustrative. Go check the real thing.
